After serving the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 19 seasons, American basketball official Eric Lewis announced his retirement.
He officiated 1,098 games during his time as a referee, including 82 postseason games and six NBA Finals.
Lewis was the subject of an NBA inquiry after it was alleged that he utilized a burner Twitter account to defend himself and other NBA referees on May 28, 2023. After Lewis announced his sudden retirement on August 30, 2023, the NBA’s inquiry into his social media use came to a close.
The mother Eric always encouraged and had faith in her son’s abilities. His siblings were probably affected by the close-knit family environment as well. Eric’s skills were honed through education at a nearby American school.
