He officiated 1,098 games during his time as a referee, including 82 postseason games and six NBA Finals.
Lewis was the subject of an NBA inquiry after it was alleged that he utilized a burner Twitter account to defend himself and other NBA referees on May 28, 2023.
After Lewis announced his sudden retirement on August 30, 2023, the NBA’s inquiry into his social media use came to a close.
