On January 8, 1947, David Robert Jones was born in Brixton, London. Margaret Mary “Peggy” was born near Cheriton, Kent, in Shorncliffe Army Camp. Her paternal grandparents were Manchester Irish immigrants. She worked as a waitress in a movie in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
